In the month of December 2007, two Te Aroha players represented New Zealand in a combined Oceania Continental Team for Youth
Women (17years Under).  This team consisted of players from NZ, Aust, Tahiti, New Caledonia, Wallis & Futuna.  Both Te Hau (OHF
squad member), and older sister Marie Winitana (OHF Assistant Coach) were part of the New Zealand delegation included in the
team.

The team assembled in Auckland, travelling to South Korea to complete a one-week training camp led by Mr Bae Jong Ik. During this
leg of the journey the team stayed in Cheong-Ju City ( 2 hours drive south of Seoul), staying at local girls high school ‘Il shin High’.
The second leg of the journey saw the team travel to Paris to compete in the ‘Mondialito International Friendly Tournament’ hosted
by the Medittereanian Handball Confederation.  12 International teams competed, and games were played in various locations
around Paris.  The OHF team played against:  France, Slovenia, Spain, Greece & Cyprus, coming 12th place in the tournament.

The trip was an amazing experience for all involved, the OHF team was invited to attend and watch the International Senior Women’
s World Championships in downtown Paris and attended the finals.
