| Annual Te Aroha vs Red Star Match For nearly 50 years this battle between the two clubs has been played on an annual home and away basis usually on the second Sunday in March. At stake is the Mrs H. Pilcher Memorial Challenge Cup. The day starts around 10-11am with the visitors being welcomed with a morning tea. The match gets under way around 11.30am and concludes with drinks, the ceremonial cup presentation and a clubroom's dinner between 5-7pm. Generally a one day 40 over match format has been chosen. Each side is allowed to bat 12 players but field only 11. No bowler may bowl more than 5 overs. |

First Match for 2009/2010 Season went to REDSTAR next
round will be held at Te Whiti park in February - TA will
need to come back with a vengeance after their poor display
in Masterton on Sunday 6th December 2009. Thank
goodness not all was lost ....Well done TA Lads for winning
the post match boat race at the Red Star clubrooms.
